On Sunday I sat on the grass amongst the weeds, the rasberry bushes and the wasps. I listened to the music, the beating of the drum, the sound of singing voices. I looked at places I have seen since I was too young to remember. I sat with family that I am thankful for, the Simpson's, the Sadlers, the Rogers, the Snodden's, the Rempels, the Greens, the Saari's, the Grimshaws, the Giletta's, the Currie's, the list goes on and I am thankful for them all.
On Monday I slept.
On Tuesday I went to work, I looked tired and I felt anger.
On Wednesday I went to work, I looked tired and I felt tired.
Today, life seems the same as it had last week, but it isn't.
Tomorrow I will sit in the grass amongst the weeds and the wasps and I will be thankful for all of you, yes...all of you...every single one of my family members. I love you and we have gotten through it, so far.
"In family life, love is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony."
~ Eva Burrow
